Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Marie Authorine Guidry, 82, who died Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Eastridge Assisted Living Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.

She is survived by her longtime companion, Ewill Hargrave of Kaplan; one son, Burton P. Guidry and his wife, Lisa Ann of Abbeville; two daughters, Debra Ann and her husband, Tommy Menard of Maurice and Nadine Guidry of Kaplan; one brother, Avert Guidry of Wright; three granddaughters, Jessica Lee Balfour of Mandeville, Amber Kemmerly of Lafayette, and Cherie Dubois of Erath; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Guidry; and her parents, Ullysse Guidry and the former Edmay Trahan.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 8 a.m. until services.
