Flordra Hebert Broussard

January 7, 1926 — May 2, 2009

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Monday, May 4, 2009 at a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church honoring the life of Flordra Broussard, 83, who died Saturday, May 2, 2009 at her residence in Lafayette .

She will be laid to rest at Leroy Cemetery with Rev. Gregory Simien officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Rickey, Brent, and Danny Broussard, Charles Sonnier, Garrett Manuel and Scott Romero. Honorary pallbearer, Chase Broussard.

Flordra was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her. Her family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff and support personnel at Kingsley Place for the wonderful care they gave her.

She is survived by three sons, Rickey Broussard and wife Paula of Thibodaux, Brent Broussard and wife Yvette of Lafayette and Danny Broussard and wife Dena of Lafayette; six grandchildren, Catrelle Sonnier, Stephanie Manuel, Parrish Romero, Lacey Broussard, Paige Broussard and Chase Broussard and five great grandchildren, Jaxon and Chloe’ Manuel, Cambrie and Carlin Sonnier and Reese Romero.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervy Broussard and her parents, Odeon and Edia Duhon Hebert.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, May 3, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. and Monday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Acadiana.
