She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon Cody Miller officiating the services.
Phyllis was employed with Abbeville General Hospital for several years. "Amen" enjoyed cooking, shopping, helping and taking care of people.
She leaves to cherish her memory Momma Sang of Abbeville; one daughter, LaKeesha Levine Perry (Alvin) of Abbeville; one grandson, Alvin "AJ" Perry, Jr. of Abbeville; one maternal sibling, Valerie Campbell Briggs (Oris) of Abbeville; one maternal aunt, Delia Levine of Abbeville; three paternal aunts, Brenda Taylor, Beverly Wilson, and Irene Hawthorne all of Abbeville; one maternal uncle, Ollie Levy, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA; three paternal uncles, Luvless Phillips, Earnest Phillips, III, and Roderick Phillips all of Houston, TX; four godchildren, Erica Griffin, Shaketha Moore, Brandon Green, and Jason Gilbert all of Abbeville; nine paternal siblings; four step siblings; and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death her husband, Sidney Joseph Levine, Sr.; son, Sidney Joseph "Tee" Levine, Jr.; along with parents and grandparents.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m.
