Albert F. "Benjie" Frederick, Jr

He is survived by his companion, Loretta Gayneaux; daughter, Felicia Ann Frederick of New Orleans, LA; and sons, Albert F. Frederick, III and his wife Renee’ of The Woodlands, TX; and Brian Leo Frederick and his wife Christelle of Lafayette, LA; and grandchildren, Bianca Milano Menard, A. F. “Ben” Frederick, IV, Mary Margaret Frederick, John Paul Frederick, Isabella Grace Frederick, Brennan Thomas Frederick, and Victoria Christelle Frederick; and great granddaughter Ava Rose Menard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert F. “Ben” Frederick, Sr. and the former Harriet LeBlanc.
Mr. Frederick spent nearly 40 years in Education, having taught at Delcambre High School, J. H. Williams Jr. High School, and Delcambre Jr. High School. He had a true calling to his vocation as a teacher, coach, and mentor to the many students he taught, of whom he loved, respected, and truly cared for. He also served in the Louisiana National Guard, receiving an Honorable discharge in 1966.
Aside from his love of teaching, Benjie’s passions were track and field and girls’ basketball, but his biggest was the love of blues music.
