Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2009 at Faith Christian Church honoring the life of Barbara Pinion Broussard, 59, who died Friday, May 8, 2009 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Abshire Cemetery with Reverend Joseph Boutin officiating the services.

She is survived by her husband, Carroll "Yogi" Broussard; one son, Anthony Duhon and his wife Lisa of Lafayette; three daughters, Cheryl and her husband Jud Adams of Lyons Point, Dawn and her husband Brian Villejoin of Indian Bayou and Evette and her husband Joe Caudill of Kaplan; one stepson, Jason and his wife Dana of Kaplan; three stepdaughters, Linda and her husband Robert Steaples of Sante Fe, Texas, Shera and her husband Paul Lapoint of Bunkie and Vonda and her husband Ricky Doucet of Kaplan; four brothers, Charlie Pinion and his wife Delores of Crowley, Donald Pinion of Iowa, Jeffery Baker and his wife Scarlett of Baton Rouge and Lynn Baker and his wife Danielle of Crowley; two sisters, Alice and her husband Ronald Duhon of Estherwood and Monnie and her husband Dalton Davis of Grayson; 10 grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and 2 step-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Pinion and the former Myrtle Benoit; and four brothers, Roland Pinion, Ronnie Pinion, Jimmy Baker and Jerry Baker.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Faith Christian Church, 128 Cantey Avenue, on Sunday, May 10, 2009 from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m.; Monday, May 11, from 8 a.m. until services.
