Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Mae Rose Cashaw, 69, who died Sunday, April 24, 2016 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery.

She is survived by her three sons, Kelvin "Chunky" Bertrand and his wife, Sandra of Kaplan, Melvin "Mikey" Bertrand, Jr. and his wife, Kelly of Maurice, and Daniel Bertrand of Maurice; three daughters, Christine and her husband, Bryan Hebert of Nunez, Justine Bertrand of Kaplan, and Cheryl Bertrand of Sulphur; one sister, Aline Marceaux of Kaplan; one brother, Joseph "Joe" Suire of Nunez; and nine grandchildren, Nathan, Alex, Justin, Kolby, Abbey, Claire, Christian, Anna, and Taya.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Cashaw and the former Maya Touchet; two brothers, Minus Cashaw and Willie Cashaw; and two sisters, Rena Cashaw LeJeune and Olivia Marceaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 8 a.m. until services.
