Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Friday, May 15, 2009 at a 1:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Odile LeMaire Koppie, 63, who died Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at LeMaire Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers were Clint Koppie, Wiley Landry, Brant LeMaire, Doyle LeMaire, Josh Laughlin, and Dyllon Stitzlein. Honorary pallbearers were Torie Badeaux and Kimberly Laughlin.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Ernest Koppie; one son, Greg "Coach" Caillouet of Alexandria; one daughter, Gretta Trahan of Erath; four stepdaughters, Vicki Laughlin of Sulphur, Donna Koppie of Sulphur, Kelly Gilley of Gillis, and Sheila Witt of Columbus, Georgia; four brothers, Gail, Donald, Mike, and Wayne LeMaire, all of Kaplan; one sister, Sue Broussard of Kaplan; twenty-one grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kerney LeMaire and the former Gladys Breaux; one brother, Kerney LeMaire, Jr.; one sister, Sharon Badeaux; and the father of her children, Eddie Caillouet.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, May 14, 2009 from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Friday, May 15, from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
