Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of George Purvis Broussard, 83, who died Sunday, May 8, 2016 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Greene Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

He is survived by his four sons, Michael Broussard and his wife, Deborah of Youngsville, Stephen Broussard of Lafayette, Samuel Broussard and his wife, Darlene of Lafayette, and Gary Broussard and his wife, Michelle of Breaux Bridge; one daughter, Annette Broussard of Kaplan; nine grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby LeMaire Broussard; his second wife, Mary Hargrave; and his parents, Bruno Broussard and the former Mable Meaux.

In lieu of flowers the family requested that donations be made to Lamm Family Care Hospice (1708 N. Parkerson Ave - Suite 4, Crowley, LA 70526).

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 8 a.m. until services.
