Gueydan—Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan honoring the life of Rena Saltzman Marceaux, 91, who died Monday, May 9, 2016 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Corey Campeaux officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Clay Marceaux, Curless Abshire, Wilson Lemaire, Jr., Chad Vallo, Phillip Broussard, and Clayton Petry.

She is survived by her son, Clay A. Marceaux of Gueydan; one daughter, Linda Marceaux Leleaux of Lafayette; one granddaughter, Breanna Shea Leleaux of Lafayette; one sister, Allie Saltzman Steagall of Winnie, TX; and one brother, Curless Abshire and his wife, Beverly of Port Neches, TX.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arsene Marceaux; her father, Sidney Saltzman of Kaplan; her mother and step-father, Eriste Primeaux Abshire and Allen Abshire of Winnie, TX; two sisters, Gussie Saltzman LeMaire of Winnie, TX and Hazel Abshire Evans of Port Arthur, TX.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to her sitters, Priscilla Dupree, Pam Woods, Francesca Gaspard, Monica Bourque, and Stephanie Cormier for providing her with such wonderful care and affection in her final months. The family would also like to thank Kaplan Home Health, STAT Home Health, and St. Joseph Hospice for their excellent care and support.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. until services.
