Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 12, 2016 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Gertie Hargrave LeBlanc, 90, who died Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services.
She is survived by her five daughters, Betty Broussard of Erath, Helen and her husband, Ray Richoux of Kaplan, Ruby and her husband, Donald Lemaire of Kaplan, Judy and her husband, Michael Trahan of Abbeville, and Mary Harrington of Cow Island; 16 grandchildren, Gary Broussard, Annette Broussard, Chris Broussard, David Richoux, Rodney "Dee" Richoux, Jarrod "Pookie" Richoux, Beil Richoux, Michael "Mikey" Duhon, Jr., Brandon Duhon, Bridgit Trahan, Deidre Trahan, Neil Trahan, Thad Harrington, Chad Harrington, Randal "Rosco" Harrington, Jr., and Reggie Harrington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, B.L. LeBlanc; her parents, Lodias Hargrave and the former Regina Menard; 10 siblings; three sons-in-law, Ronald Broussard, Randal Harrington, Sr., and Michael D. Duhon, Sr..
The family would like to thank the staff at Kaplan Healthcare for their wonderful care, she loved each and every one of you. The family would also like to thank Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital and Abbeville General Hospital.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 8 a.m. until services.
