Preston Harrington, Jr.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Rev. Gregory Cormier officiating the services.
Altar server will be Trenton Connor. Serving as pallbearers will be Tracy Connor, Johnny Smith, Al Vidrine, Randy Harrington, Karl Harrington and James Delahoussaye. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Harrington, Les Crouch, Kenneth "My Love" Harrington, Dr. Weston Miller, T-Boy Vice and Mike Faulk.
Lectors will be Jackie Choate and Ted Ayo. Giftbearers will be Danette Delahoussaye, Kaleb Connor and Abigail Connor. Music will be performed by Valerie Andrus.
He is survived by his wife, Salena Vincent Harrington; two sons, Randy Harrington, and Mark Harrington and his wife Monica all of Abbeville; daughter, Becky Foret and her husband Larry of Kaplan; step-daughters, Danette Delahoussaye and her husband James of Abbeville, and Kris Connor of New Iberia; brother, Donald Harrington of Abbeville; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and six step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luke Harrington and the former Melba Palombo.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Wednesday May 18, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
A special thank you goes out to Hospice of Acadiana especially Robin Broussard, Dr. Corbett J. Lebouef, Dr. Fernando Alemany, and Pam Vincent who came to our home and helped us take care of Preston. You all helped so much in our time of need, and made it possible for Preston to stay at home around those he loved at his time of passing. Your care and dedication is more than just saying “thank you” can express.
