Kaplan—Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Mission Chapel honoring the life of Rose Marie Breaux, 75, who was called to rest in the arms of our Savior on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Vermilion Health Care Center.
Our beloved mother Rose “Bodie” Breaux was called home, for her work here was done. God had new tasks for her to fulfill. Bodie was born in Lafayette on April 20, 1941 to the late Lercy O’Brien, Sr. and the former Mildred Russian.
She leaves to mourn her husband of 52 years, Belton Breaux, Jr.; five sons, Dale O’Brien, Gary O’Brien, Howard Breaux, Terron Breaux and his wife, Radonna, and Chris Breaux; one daughter, Nina O’Brien and her companion, Kerry Mathews; two sisters, Veronica Vallery and Jessica O’Brien; four brothers, Donald O’Brien and his wife, Theresa, Harry O’Brien, Keith Shane O’Brien, and David O’Brien; her grandchildren, Victoria Breaux and her spouse, Shon Theard, Justin O’Brien and his wife, Nikki Landry, Brandy Jeffers, Reckel O’Brien and her spouse, Emmanuel Campbell, Na’Dedrick Vallery, Jada Garcia, Teranie Breaux, Darian Breaux, Makayla Davenport, Kyron O’Brien, Zayden O’Brien, and Tanisha Theard.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Lercy O'Brien, Sr. and the former Mildred Russian; four brothers, Anthony O'Brien, Lercy O'Brien, Jr., Kenneth O'Brien, and Edward Francis; one sister, Helen Vern Cobb; one son, Joseph O'Brien; and nephews, Greg O'Brien, Derek O'Brien, Sr., Marcus O'Brien, Jason O'Brien, Crispin O'Brien, and Derek O'Brien, Jr.
