Gueydan—Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 21, 2016 at a 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Jeanette Guidry LeJeune, 87, who died Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Gueydan Memorial Guest Home. She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Corey Campeaux officiating the services.
Jeanette loved music and enjoyed dancing in her younger years. She was a wonderful mother, homemaker, and artist. Holding her grandchildren brought her much joy. Mom will be missed by her seven children and her grandchildren who loved her dearly.
She is survived by her two sons, Clayton LeJeune and his wife, Joan of Crowley and Danny LeJeune and his wife, Cindy of Morse; five daughters, Bonnie LeJeune of Gueydan, Marcella LeJeune of Gueydan, Angela LeJeune of Gueydan, Jamie and her husband, Leonard Snoddy of Gueydan, and Leah and her husband, Troy Ewing of Gueydan; one sister, Jane Foegell of Yorktown, TX; one brother, Ronald Guidry of Morse; 10 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oran LeJeune; her parents, Lionel Guidry and the former Elda Richard; two grandchildren, Joshua LeJeune and Jared LeJeune; four brothers, and two sisters.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 12 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 8 a.m. until services.
