Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 11, 2016 at a 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Mission Chapel honoring the life of Melba Jones Guidry, 74, who died Friday, June 3, 2016 at Lafayette General Southwest. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Rev. Paul Bienvenu officiating the services.

She is survived by her son, Brent Guidry of Kaplan; and three sisters, Joyce and her husband, Sherley Wade Broussard of Kaplan, Patsy Boutte of New Iberia, and Lou Johnson of Kaplan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ray Guidry; her parents, Levores Jones and the former Mary Louise Hebert.

The family would like to thank her special friend, Tina Sinegal for her loving care.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Mission Chapel, 901 N. Frederick Avenue, on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 8 a.m. until services.
