Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Monday, June 6, 2016 at a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Verna Racca Maturin, 74, who died Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Gueydan Memorial Guest Home. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Fr. Paul Bienvenu officiating the services.

She is survived by her three sons, Michael Hulin of Crowley, Ray Maturin of Youngsville, and Timothy Hulin, Sr. of New Iberia; five daughters-in-law, Sarah Bonaventure of New Iberia, Tammy Romero of Lafayette, Angela Maturin of New Iberia, Genia Guidry of Crowley, and Alice Hulin; and three grandchildren, Timothy Hulin, Jr., Jardi Hulin, and Ryne Maturin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oday Racca and the former Edia Duhon.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed 7 p.m.; Monday, June 4, 2016 from 8 a.m. until the services.
