Dola Domingues Richard

She will be laid to rest at Esther Community Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Andy Richard, Andre Landry, Danny Richard, Clay Willis, Eric Richard and Tim Landry.
Dola was a loving wife, mother and grandmother whose humor and faith will live on for generations to come. She had a great devotion to her Lord and His loving mother who both have carried her through many trials in her life.
She is survived by her son, Danny Richard and his wife Linda; two daughters, Kathy Willis and her husband Clay, and Tammy Landry and her husband Tim; two daughters-in-law, Sue V. Richard and Delores D. Richard; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivy J. Richard; two sons, Tommy and Jimmy Richard; four grandchildren, Rachel Richard, Jill Richard, Todd Richard and Bryant Vincent; parents, Evia Broussard Domingues and Lotar Domingues; brothers, Dalton, Luley and O.J. Domingues; and sisters, Flo Broussard Girouard and Velma Domingues LeBlanc.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be lead by the St. James Altar Society at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, June 11, 2016, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
Her family would like to thank the many caretakers who have cared for her with such compassion for the past seven years: Betty Vaughn, Louella Meaux, Suzanne Harris, Julie Mouledous, Ellen Koch, Janet Jesensky and Trudy Demarcy. We will forever be grateful to you for the kindness you shown to her. Also, a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice for the special care and services provided to her in her final weeks.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Esther Cemetery Association, 317 Celeste Street, Abbeville, LA 70510 in memory of Dola D. Richard.
