Timothy "Tim" Sams

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Timothy James Sams, 37, who died Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Farley Painter officiating the services.

He is survived by his mother, Mildred A. Vincent of Kaplan; one brother, Jerry Toups of Kaplan; one sister, Misty Toups of Kaplan; his girlfriend, Angie Burgett and her daughter, Hailey Burgett, both of Kaplan; and his paternal grandmother, Evelyn Duhon of Lake Charles.

He was preceded in death by his father Albert Sams Jr.; his paternal grandfather, Albert Sams Sr.; his paternal great grandparents, George Edward Yeager and Daisy Yeager; and his maternal grandparents, Elin "Bee" Vincent and Estella Vincent.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, June 8, 2009 from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m.; Tuesday, June 9, from 8 a.m. until services.
