John Watkin Sellers

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Fr. Michael Richard officiating the services. Pallbearers will be, Jeremy Sellers, Mark Sellers, Robert Sellers, Scotty Gaspard, Allen Hebert, and Tony Frederick. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Sellers, John Marceaux, and Scotty Sellers.
John was a devoted husband and a wonderful provider for his family.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lona Dean Frederick Sellers; children, Theresa Kim Sellers of Carencro, Delores Gaspard and her husband Pervis of Abbeville, Jeremy Sellers of Abbeville, and Mark Sellers and his wife Heather of Florida; two brothers, Joseph A. Sellers of Scott, and Floyd C. Sellers of Lafayette; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emile Sellers and the former Ematile Lemaire; brothers, Dewey, Jessie, Wilmer, Remy and Collin Sellers; and sister, Lucy Sellers.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Monday, July 18, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Tuesday, July 19, 2016, from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
