Kaplan—Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016 at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Mission Chapel honoring the life of Ida Laurice Marie Robinson Solomon, 58, who died Friday, July 15, 2016 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Rev. Paul Bienvenu officiating the services.

She is survived by her husband of 4 years, Calvin Solomon of Kaplan; one son, Pedro Jones, III of Kaplan; one daughter, Mercedé T.H. Boutte and her husband, Timothy of Abbeville; her mother, Delores Broussard of Kaplan; two sisters, Tina Chargois of Kaplan and Tammy Fusilier of Kaplan; one brother, Speedy Lappin of Church Point; and six grandchildren, Pedro W. Jones, IV, Mya Jones, Justin Boutte, Chad Celestine, Jaslyn Boutte, and Layiah Boutte.

She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Robinson, Jr.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Mission Chapel, 901 N. Frederick Avenue, on Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. until services with a rosary being prayed at 11:30 a.m.
