He will be laid to rest at Suire Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Shane LeBlanc, Jared Abshire, David LeBlanc, Chris Hargrave, Scott Hargrave and Ricky Montagne. Hononary pallbearer will be Danny Boutte.
He is survived by his wife, Lena Schexnider Hargrave; three daughters, Darlene (Alvin) LeBlanc of Broussard, Tammy (Bruce) LaBarge of Abbeville and Cynthia (Brent) Boutte of Iota; two sons, Kenneth (Mona) Hargrave of Abbeville and Chris (special friend Darlene) Hargrave of Abbeville; fourteen grandchildren, Ronnie Hargrave, Shane (fiance Monica) LeBlanc of Broussard, David (April) LeBlanc of Milton, Megan (David) Dubois of Lafayette, Jared Abshire of Abbeville, Johnathon Abshire of Abbeville, April (Keith) Bourque of Jennings, Danny (Brittany) Boutte of Houston, TX, Shannon (Ricky) Montagne of Abbeville, Shawn Hargrave of Delcambre, Scott Hargrave of Abbeville, Amber Hargrave of Vermont, Sierra Hargrave of Vermont and Brandon Bourgeois of Abbeville; twelve great grandchildren; one step great granddaughter; two sisters, Evelyn (Wilbert) Foreman of Milton and Margaret Hargrave of Kaplan; two brothers, (twin) Nelson (Jeanell) Hargrave of Kaplan and Elton Hargrave (Judy) of Lake Arthur.
He was preceded in death by parents, Adam Hargrave and the former Evelyn Duhon; son, David Hargrave; and sister, Beverly Russell.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. and will remain open until services on Thursday, June 25, 2009.
