Gena Dartez Bourque

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Gena Dartez Bourque, 82, who died Friday, June 26, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Farley Painter officiating the services.

She is survived by one son, Louissy J. Romero Jr. of Abbeville; two daughters, Judy and her husband Leon McDuffie of Hemphill, Texas and Cindy Dyas of Franklin; one sister, Eula Mae Hanks of Lafayette; eight grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Octa Dartez and the former Marie Meche; and her husband, Lloyd Bourque.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Saturday, June 27, 2009 from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.; Sunday, June 28, from 9 a.m. until services.
