Electa "Lec" H. Hargrave
June 18, 1924 — August 30, 2016
Momom Lec as many called her found great joy in her love for family, friends, and children. She was a caregiver to many children and gave unconditional love to all who knew her. She cherished time spent with family and friends. Momom enjoyed crocheting blankets and slippers for the people she loved. She will be dearly missed by all.
She is survived by her two grandchildren, Vanessa Hebert of Abbeville and Stephanie Adlard and her companion, Charles Fontenot of Chataignier; five great grandchildren, Brandon LaBry and his wife, Natalie of Abbeville, Jared LaBry and his wife, Shanna of Abbeville, Lee LaBry and his husband, Jude LaBry of Lafayette, Amber Adlard and her companion, Heath Morrison of Kaplan, and Blaise and her husband, Tyler Burley of Youngsville; eleven great-great grandchildren, Jazmin LaBry, Lyla LaBry, Jaxon Van LaBry, Jayden LaBry, Khloe LaBry, DeShawna Wilfong, Jussiah Brannon, Langston LaBry, Zakk Burley, Payton Morrison, and Avery Morrison; two sons-in-law, Alan Adlard and Wallace Hebert; two sisters, Wilda Duhon of Nederland, TX and Betty Marceaux Gaspard of Cow Island.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Advey Hargrave; her daughter, Faye Hebert; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clodis Harrington; one brother; and seven sisters.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 8 a.m. until services with a rosary being prayed at 10 a.m.
