GUEYDAN-Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016 at an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Kathleen Eleanor Porter Theriot, 92 years, who died Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Gueydan Memorial Guest Home. She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Corey Campeaux officiating the services.

She is survived by her five sons, Wilton Theriot Jr. of Gueydan, Edwin Theriot and his wife, Paige of New Orleans, Robert Theriot and his wife, Nona of Gueydan, Chris Theriot and his wife, Stella of Gueydan, and Bart Theriot of Gueydan; one daughter, Annette Theriot of Lafayette; two daughters-in-law, Jada Theriot of Lafayette and Pat Theriot of Vicksburg, MS; one brother, Edwin Porter of Seguin, TX; 22 grandchildren; and 31 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton J. Theriot; two sons, Russell F. Theriot and Bret Theriot; two grandsons, Matthew Theriot and Jedi Hatch; two brothers, Frank and Preston Porter; one daughter-in-law, Cynthia Theriot; and her parents, Edwin M. Porter and the former Abbie Marie Payne.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth St., on Friday September 2, 2016 from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 7 PM; Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 8:00 AM until the procession departs for the service.
