GUEYDAN-Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016 at a 1:30 PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of William David Hardee, 29 years, who died Thursday, September 1, 2016 at his home. He will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Corey Campeaux officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Wyatt Hardee, Travis Foreman, Lane Lemaire, Jude David, Grant Guillotte, and Zach Wells.
William was born and raised in Wright, LA. In 2005, he graduated from Vermilion Catholic High School. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Economics from Louisiana State University in 2009. During his undergraduate years at LSU, he pledged as a member of the Alpha Alpha Chapter of Theta Xi Fraternity, a brotherhood he always held close to his heart. He has entered the chapter eternal. In 2011, he graduated with a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business.
Currently, he was the Assistant Vice President in Commercial Lending at Capital One and the President of the Acadiana chapter of the LSU Tiger Athletic Foundation. He had most recently achieved Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder status, an accomplishment he was so very proud of.
William was an avid hunter, fisherman, and LSU football fan. He loved early mornings in the blind with his dad, brother, and godfather and late nights in Tiger Stadium. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him, especially his parents.
He is survived by his parents, Luther E. Hardee III and Angela Lemaire Hardee of Wright; fiancée, Jacqueline Savoie and their child; his sister, Kayla and her husband, Travis Foreman of Baton Rouge; his brother, Wyatt Hardee of Wright; maternal grandparents, Logan and Maggie Lemaire of Lafayette; and two nieces, Norah and Vivian Foreman of Baton Rouge.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Luther E. Hardee Jr. and Hannah Jane Wright Hardee; and first cousin, Janie Chapman.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth St., on Saturday September 3, 2016 from 9:00 AM until the procession departs for the church. A rosary will be prayed at 11:30 AM.
