Jeanette "Mickey" Comeaux Cessac

June 8, 1933 — September 25, 2016

Abbeville-Funeral services will be held at the St. Mary Magdalen Church in Abbeville, LA on Wednesday, September 28th, at a 1:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Jeanette "Mickey" Cessac, 83, who passed away on Sunday, September 25th at 9:20 am at Maison De Lafayette.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 27th, from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Vincent Funeral Home in Abbeville. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, at 8:00 am until 12:45 pm at which time the procession will depart for St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville. A rosary will be recited by Ray Lacour at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 27th at Vincent Funeral Home.

Father Louie Richard will be officiating the funeral services.
Interment to follow in the Esther Community Cemetery,
Working in most schools in Vermilion Parish as a Special Ed Teacher's Aide, she touched many lives. She also worked at Wal-Mart and ABL Bingo for many years. How she loved her Bingo! She also loved her little four-legged companion, Minnie.

She is survived by her two daughters, Dewanna Derouen of Arvada, CO and Antionette Derouen of Abbeville, LA; eight grandchildren, Retired Naval Chief, David Kern Derouen and his wife Melissa of Arvada, CO, Jason Derouen of Baton Rouge, LA, Tonya Stelly of Erath, LA, Caleb and Jeane Derouen of Abbeville, LA, and Joshua, Jeremy and Joel Cessac; five great grandchildren, Amber Lynn Derouen of Parker, CO, MM3 (SW) David K. Derouen, Jr. serving his country aboard the USS Ronald Reagan in Yokosuka, Japan, Autumn Derouen of Maurice, LA and Kelsey and Taylor Benoit of Erath, LA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon Comeaux and Eunice Primeaux; her husband, Antoine Cessac, Jr.; sons, Ivan, Timothy and Brent Cessac; daughter-in-law, Connie Trahan; grandson, Timothy Cessac, Jr.; granddaughter, Jannah Cessac and most recently in February 2016, her son-in-law, Harvey Derouen.
