He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery. Pallbearers include Ronnie Denais, Riley LeBlanc, Josh Broussard, Matt Broussard, Michael Trahan, Loland Broussard and T-Man Milliman. Honorary Pallbearers are Al Lee, Cade Denais, Caleb Hulin, Cordell Theriot and Kenneth Romero.
Mr. Denais was a 1975 graduate of Henry High School then went on to graduate from Nashville Diesel/Welding School in 1976. David never met a stranger and he always brightened the spirits of all with his wit and laughter. He was always ready to give a helping hand to his family and numerous friends. He will be sadley missed by family, friends and all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis and Margaret Denais of Maurice; a brother, Ronnie Denais of Erath; sisters, Bonnie Broussard and husband Loland of Lafayette, and Denise Hulin and husband Duell of Henry; niece, Sarah Denais and long time friend Michael Trahan of Maurice; nephews, Josh and Matt Broussard of Lafayette, Caleb Hulin of Henry and Cade Denais of Erath; stepchildren, Riley and Destenie LeBlanc of Abbeville; and MeMe his apricot Poodle.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Denais; a nephew Eddie Hulin; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.B. and Rena Denais; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L.J. and Sarah Menard.
The family would like to thank the ICU staff at UMC, who really took great care of David. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, July 5, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. The family will reopen on Monday, July 6, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
