Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016 at an 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Dalson Joseph Broussard, 89 years, who died Friday, October 14, 2016 at Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Paul Bienvenu officiating the services.

He is survived by his son, Glenn Patrick Broussard and his wife, Nina of Hensley, AR; one daughter, Ellen and her husband, John Harper of Kaplan; one sister, Lunia B. Greene of Gueydan; 9 grandchildren. Aaron Harper, Clint Broussard, Joshua Broussard, Kelly Dronet, Jaime Mills, Kattie Stevens, Pamela Merritt, Lauren Stelly, and Jasen Pogue; and 21 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Broussard; his daughter, Cheryl Pogue; and one brother, Adlair Broussard, Jr.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Friday October 14, 2016 from 4 PM until 10 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7 PM; Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 8 AM until the procession departs for the church.
