Leverson Nunez

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Leverson Nunez, 86, who died Thursday, July 16, 2009 at his residence.

He will be laid to rest at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Forked Island with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife, Georgette Veazey Nunez; a sister, Maude Nunez Ditch; three step children, Charlotte Gaar, Jim Shields and John Shields; ten step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clodis and Lucy Porter Nunez; and his first wife, Vergie Schexnayder Nunez.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, July 17, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. The family will reopen on Saturday, July 18, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
