Mamie Vincent

January 17, 1917 — July 18, 2009

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Mamie Vincent, 92, who died Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Vermilion Health Care Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sabul Landry of Lafayette and Beverly and her husband Purvis J. Monceaux of Kaplan; six grandchildren, Timothy Landry, Patrick Landry, Karen L. Koffskey, Jeanne' Dubuc, Pamela Monceaux and Troy Monceaux; and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Vincent and the former Jeanne Duhon; one brother, Norman Vincent; and her sister, Rita V. Broussard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, July 20, 2009 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 6 p.m.; Tuesday, July 21, from 10 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
