INDIAN BAYOU - Louise Hebert Primeaux passed away peacefully at her home in Indian Bayou, LA on October 5, 2016. She was 99 years old.

A Memorial Mass will be said by Father Johnathan Janise at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Leroy, LA, preceded by a rosary at 12:45 p.m.

Mrs. Primeaux is survived by her daughters, Diane Brown and Ann Catherine Primeaux, both of Indian Bayou, LA; grandchildren, Rachelle Brown of Monee, IL and Renee Brown and partner, Kelly Gimlin of Cornelius, NC; great grandchild, Sydney Jolie Brown of Cornelius, NC; sisters, Pauline Meaux of Lafayette, LA and Jewel Pavur and husband, Louis of Eunice, LA; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Hampton Primeaux; parents, Walter Hebert and the former Azena Girouard of Indian Bayou, LA; brother, Leo Hebert of Indian Bayou, LA; sisters, Adele LeBouef of Lake Jackson, TX and Zoe Bodin of Indian Bayou, LA; and son-in-law, Ronald Brown of Indian Bayou, LA.

After living out west during WWII, Louise and her husband returned to Louisiana and lived many places, including Franklin, Lake Charles, Chalmette, River Ridge, and Lafayette, retiring in Indian Bayou, LA where she was born and raised.

Louise will be fondly remembered for her love of camping with friends and family, gardening with her husband, and entertaining her coffee ladies on Fridays. Louise was a good friend to many and will be dearly missed.

Memorial contribution may be made in her memory to Hospice of Acadiana, Lafayette, LA.
