Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 25, 2009 at a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Pleasant Green Baptist Church honoring the life of Ouida Brown, 94, who died Monday, July 20, 2009 at her residence.
She will be laid to rest at Pleasant Green Cemetery with Rev. Michael Wright officiating the services.
She is survived by her son, Andre Reginald Brown; a daughter, Lorraine Trahan; seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Dora Lemaire Willis, Sr.; husband, Hosey Brown; two brothers, Warren Willis, Jr. and Walter Willis; and a sister, Beatrice Hill.
Ms. Brown was known to all who knew and met her for her two favorite sayings, “Thank God for what it is” and “Do all the good you can so you have no regrets.”
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pleasant Green Baptist Church, 822 S. Miles St., on Saturday, July 25, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services
