ABBEVILLE - Funeral services will be held Saturday October 29, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Langles Joseph Mire, 89 years, who died Thursday, October 27, 2016 at his residence.

He will be laid to rest at Esther Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bradley Mire, Brett Mire, Murphy "JJ" Mire, Calvin "CJ" Mire, Brennan Mire and Gavin Powell.

He is survived by his children, Brenda Mire Toups of Maurice, Langles Mire Jr. and his wife, Vickie of Ragley, Calvin Mire Sr. and his wife, Shelia of Kaplan, Albert Mire and his fiancee, Angie Granger of Lafayette, and Dennis Mire of Dallas Texas; twenty-one grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and companion, Rose Adams.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Faulk Mire; parents, John Mire and the former Rosaline Guilbeaux; sons, Murphy James Mire Sr. and Russell Paul Mire; and siblings, Edmar "Black" Mire, Newman Mire, Preston Mire, Edmay Davidson, Matilde White, Yolande Foster, Stella Mire, and Ella Mire LeBlanc.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Friday October 28, 2016 from 3:00 PM until 10:00 PM; Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 8:00 AM until time of services.
