Abbeville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 at an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church honoring the life of Amy Brasseaux, 93 years, who died Friday, November 4, 2016 at Nottingham Regional Rehab Center. She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Greg Cormier officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Brasseaux, Jane Truttier, Fred White, Charles Brasseaux, and Patrick Menard.

She is survived by her two sons, Richard Brasseaux of Baton Rouge and Gary Wayne Brasseaux of Abbeville; one daughter, Jane Brasseaux Truttier of Spring, TX; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Purfy Brasseaux; her parents, Alban Guidry and the former Elda Toups; one sister, Lois Guidry Meaux; and two brothers, Howard Guidry, and Edward Guidry.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Monday, November 7, 2016 from 8:00 AM until the procession departs for the church with a rosary being prayed at 9:30 AM.
