Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Elvie Duhon, 94 years, who died Sunday, November 6, 2016 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

She is survived by her son, Bradley Duhon and his wife, Maxine of Abbeville; one daughter, Sybil Duhon and her companion, Guy Guidry of Kaplan; four grandchildren, Ryan Duhon and his wife, Tricia of Lafayette, Jared Duhon of Abbeville, Angelyn and her husband, Jarden Uriegas of Kaplan, and Christina and her husband, Keith Badeaux of Abbeville; seven great grandchildren, Blake LeMaire and his wife, Jackie, Broc Badeaux, Kaylyn Badeaux, Carter Duhon, Ellie Duhon, Henry Duhon, and Haizlynn Uriegas; two great-great grandchildren, Gracie and Ace LeMaire; and one sister, Winnie Trahan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex "Bee" Duhon; one son, Ronald Paul Duhon; her parents, Willie Foreman and the former Edith Manceaux; one brother, Minice Foreman; and four sisters, Eunice Hebert, Euna Trahan, Dorothy Baranco, and Joycie Verett.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Monday, November 7, 2016 from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 9:00 AM until the procession departs for the church at 1:45 PM.
