Ruby L. Guidry
June 24, 1949 — November 20, 2016
Ruby was employed by Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital for 29 years. She held many positions such as Health Information Director, Medical Staff Secretary, and UR Coordinator. She currently worked for Abbeville General Hospital since 1996 serving as Utilization Management, Director of Utilization Management, and lastly as Compliance Officer. Ruby was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, arts, crafts, attending flea markets, craft shows, 50's and 60's music, and watching old movies. Her greatest joy was spending quality time with her son and grandsons.
She is survived by her loving son, Jimmie W. Guidry, Jr. of Kaplan; three grandchildren, Jared, Blaine, and Lane Guidry; and one sister, Jeanette Bernard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy LeMaire and the former Orta Simon; and one brother, Claude LeMaire.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM; Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM; Wednesday, November 23, 2016 from 9:00 AM until services.
