Esther B. Marceaux

October 10, 1925 — July 28, 2009

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Esther Breaux Marceaux, 83, who died Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at the Gueydan Memorial Guest Home. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Harold Marceaux Sr., Tony Trahan, Lloyd Hargrave, Julius Gaudet, James LeBlanc and James Marceaux Jr. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dwayne Giroir, Lance Marceaux, Isaiah Toups, Hadyen Trahan and Jessie Marceaux.

She is survived by her son, Harold Marceaux and his wife Laura of Lafayette; two daughters, Linda and her husband Norris Myers of New Orleans and Cathy and her husband Lloyd Hargrave of Kaplan; ten grandchildren; two step grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Evellier "T.A." Marceaux; two sons, Ray Allen and Dalton Marceaux; and one grandson, Robin Paul Marceaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, July 30, 2009 from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 6 p.m.; Friday, July 31, from 8 a.m. until services.
