Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Lesley James “Jimmy” Stelly, 59, who died Thursday, July 30, 2009 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Immaculate Conception Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Susan LeBlanc Stelly of Forked Island; two daughters, Kimberly and her husband Stephen Mire of Forked Island and Mandy and her husband Paul Leger of Erath; his father, Clifford Stelly of Forked Island; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Mire, Kade Mire, Chloe Leger and Seth Leger; four brothers, Randall Stelly and his wife Laura, Wyndal Stelly and his wife Judy, Blaine Stelly and his wife Susan, and Shelly Stelly, all of Forked Island; and three sisters, Charlene and her husband, Chris Toups, Mona and her husband, Keith Bernard and Dena and her husband Keith Gaspard, all of Forked Island.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Della Rung Stelly; maternal grandparents; and paternal grandparents.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, July 30, 2009 from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m., Friday, July 31, from 8 a.m. until services.
