Steve Michael Broussard

February 19, 1947 — August 1, 2009

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 3, 2009 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Steve Michael Broussard, 62, who died Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Regional Medical Center of Acadiana.

He will be laid to rest at Abshire Cemetery with Reverend Joseph Breaux officiating the services. Pallbearers include Shane Broussard, Casey Broussard, Scott Breaux, Logan Broussard, Caleb Broussard, and Trey Broussard. Honorary Pallbearers are Marcus and Michael Breaux.

He is survived by his two sons, Shane Broussard and Casey Lee Broussard both of Kaplan; a daughter, Julie Dean Broussard of Houston; a sister, Mrs. James "Kathy" Breaux of Abbeville; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence "Sing" Broussard; mother, Eve Ella "Eve" LeBlanc Broussard; paternal grandparents, Armance and Ella Schexnayder Broussard; maternal grandparents, Beaurgard and Anna Istre LeBlanc.

The family would like to thank his nurse, Tiffanie Hayley for all her help and support.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, August 2, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service on Monday. A rosary will be prayed on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m.
