Memorial Mass will be held Friday, August 7, 2009 at a 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Godfrey James Bergeron, 58, who died Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at his residence.

Msgr. Richard von Phul Mouton will be officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife, Lydia Sas-Jaworsky Bergeron of Lafayette; a son, Michael J. Bergeron of Lafayette; a granddaughter, Natalia Bergeron of Lafayette; brother, D.J. Bergeron, Jr. of Lafayette; two sisters, Deanna Richard of Ponte Vedra, Fl. and Phyllis Guidry of Abbeville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dalton Joseph and Pearl Breaux Bergeron.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, August 7, 2009 11:00 a.m. until time of services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Bergeron’s memory to the charity of your choice.
