Annie Bell Terro Abshire

September 6, 1921 — August 7, 2009

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Annie Bell Terro Abshire, 87, who died Friday, August 7, 2009 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. She will be laid to rest at Leroy Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

She is survived by one son, Winfred J. Abshire and his wife Mary Myrtis of Kaplan; two sisters, Ruth Barton of Rayne and Olite Quinn of Lafayette; one grandchild, Kevin Abshire of Kaplan; one great grandchild, Blake Hargrave of Kaplan; two great-great grandchildren, Mallory and Kaylon Hargrave, both of Kaplan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Abshire; her parents, Maurice Terro and the former Olita Gary; one brother, Wilfred Terro; and five sisters, Shirley L. Higgenbotham, Yolande Duhon, Mable Duhon, Ruby Comeaux and Wanda Janice.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, August 7, 2009 from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Saturday, August 08, from 8 a.m. until services.
