Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Marie Edmay Pesson, 98 years, who died Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Pitre Cemetery with Reverend Paul Bienvenu officiating the services.

Ms. Edmay lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, dancing, and loved being outside gardening and fishing. Her other love in life was her family, being with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Norman Pesson, Raymond Pesson and his wife, Betty, Patricia and her husband, Clarence Toups; 11 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 22 great-great grandchildren; and one brother, John LaSalle and his wife, Audrey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Pesson; one son, Presley Pesson; three brothers, Theodore LaSalle, Melvin LaSalle, and Watson LaSalle; and one sister, Gladys LeBlanc.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 9:00 AM until the funeral procession departs for the church.
