Arron J. Hebert

Arron was an inspector for the Louisiana Department of Ag and Forestry for 35 years. In his younger years, he enjoyed duck hunting and crabbing with his family and friends. His weekends were often spent with the "Three Muskateers," Derek, Megan, and Sara, cooking and watching his beloved LSU Tigers. During his lifetime, Arron had three major hobbies. One was gardening. Often, he would make a phone call to many to "make a pass" and pick up cucumbers, tomatoes, and cantaloupe. Every year he would supply his friends with sweet potatoes from his "sweet potato supplier." His second was horse racing. His love of taking care of and watching his horses race brought him much joy and happiness. His third was cooking. No one will ever forget his turtle sauce piquante, potato salad, green bean casserole, Megan's vegetables, and shrimp or crawfish etouffee.
He is survived by his son, Derek Hebert and his wife, Megan of Kaplan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Profus Hebert and the former Lorraine Trahan.
The family would like to thank the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes hospital; especially the oncology and neurology units and ICU. Also, thank you to Community Hospice of Lafayette, Dr. Washington, and Dr. Trahan for your compassion and excellent care.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Friday, January 13, 2017 from 8:00 AM until services.
