Goldie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a long time beautician and at one time the only beautician in Kaplan. Being an excellent cook, she enjoyed cooking delicious meals for family and friends. All of her cakes were made from scratch. Her family and her church were her life. She made the best of any situation and was always positive and firm in her decisions. She was gracious and kind to anyone she met and in her prime, a true Southern Belle. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by one son, Chester "Chet" Landry and his wife Patricia of Kaplan; one daughter, Beverly and her husband Michael Mouton of Crowley; one brother, Joseph H. Broussard Jr. of Kaplan; one niece, Patricia H. McNeill of Abbeville; one nephew, Leonard Royce Hollier and his wife Patricia of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Jill Landry, Jennifer and her husband Hans Nelson and Erika and her husband Todd Livers, Christina Baudoin and John Baudoin; and great grandchildren, Christian, Cameron and Caroline Nelson, Noah, Sophia and Olivia Livers and Clayton Baudoin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester W. Landry; her parents Hazard Broussard and the former Eliza Landry; and one sister, Dorothy B. Hollier.
