Rosella Hebert Marceaux

July 15, 1917 — August 20, 2009

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Rosella Hebert Marceaux, 92, who died Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Lafayette General Medical Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

She is survived by two sons, Bennette Marceaux of Kaplan, Rufus Marceaux and his wife Marlene of Kaplan; one daughter, Janet and her husband Michael France of Galveston, Texas; one sister, Irene Hebert Oja of Lafayette; one half sister, Rena Faulk of Kaplan; seven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Asa Marceaux, one son, Richard Lee Marceaux, four sisters, Lelia Stelly, Inez "Con" LeMaire, Enes Hebert, Evelia "Blanche" LeMaire, one half sister, Harriet Brasseaux and four brothers, Pierre Hebert, Ivy "Nook" Hebert, Severin Hebert and Fred "Tee" Hebert.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, August 20, 2009 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Friday, August 21, from 8 a.m. until services.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Alan Appley, Dr. Novac, Dr. Castillo, Dr. Morris Hoffpauir, Dr. Glen Mire, Hospice of Acadiana, Father Aaron Melancon and clergy staff of Hospice, Lafayette General Medical Center emergency room and oncology floor nurses, Nurses Donna Vidrine and Holly Van Beek and Social Worker Nancy O'Dell.
