Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Beverly Joyce Marie Simon, 70, who died Friday, August 21, 2009 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital.
She will be laid to rest at Abshire Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

She is survived by three brothers, Thomas Villejoin of Indian Bayou, Joseph "Len" Villejoin and his wife, Alice B. of Indian Bayou and Randall Villejoin and his wife, Charlene B. of Indian Bayou; three sisters, Winona V. Schexnider of Indian Bayou, Dixie V. and her husband, Louis Alleman of Kaplan and Myra V. and her husband Kellie Baronet of Indian Bayou; one brother-in-law, Howard Pommier of Loreauville; thirty-one nieces and nephews; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty plus years, Clifton Simon; her parents, Eugene Villejoin and the former Aline Trahan; one brother, Claude Villejoin; two sisters, Sadie V. Pommier and Jeanette V. Alleman; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Seton Villejoin; one brother-in-law, Lenis Schexnider; and one great nephew, Nicholas Castille.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Saturday, August 22, 2009 from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Sunday, August 23, from 8 a.m. until services.
