Ellen Gayle Meyers Walters

She will be laid to rest at Bancker Cemetery with Deacon Tim Marcantel officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Michael Eric Walters, Clay Thompson, Michael John Becker, Timothy A. Boudreaux, Timothy L. Boudreaux, and Cameron Constantin.
Ellen Gayle was a long-time resident of Abbeville. She was a retired ward clerk for Abbeville General Hospital, with over 30 years of service. She loved telling jokes with her family, and enjoyed spending time at the beauty shop. She had a very giving and selfless soul, and loved taking care of her cats. Anyone who knew her would gladly say that she left a smile on everyone's face.
Ellen Gayle is survived by her sons, Clay Walters, Jr. of Abbeville, and Michael Eric Walters of Henry; her daughters, Jan Walters Boudreaux and husband Timothy of Abbeville, and Sheree Walters of Abbeville; her grandchildren, Clay Thompson, Crystel Thompson Moore and husband Jared, Michael John Becker, Timothy Auston Boudreaux,
and Lauron Boudreaux and fiance Steven Sparkman; and her great grandchildren, Lani Thompson, Emma Moore, Aubrie Moore, Tristan Moore, and Vivian Moore.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clay Walters, Sr.; her daughter, Baby Walters; her parents, Osay Oscar Meyers and Zeanith Moss Meyers; and her brother, Donald James Meyers, Sr.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 9:00 AM until time of services.
