May Guidry Libersat

June 21, 1915 — August 31, 2009

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of May Guidry Libersat, 94, who died Monday, August 31, 2009 at her residence.

She will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery with Reverend William C. Blanda officiating the services. Pallbearers include Gerald Libersat, Jr., Mark Libersat, Barrett Bertrand, Brooks Bertrand, Jacob Broussard, and Kevin Guillot.

She is survived by her son, Gerald Libersat, Sr. and wife Julie of Abbeville; ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Ulysse Guidry; husband, Murphy "Mutt" Libersat; two sons, Donald and Rodney Libersat; one brother; and two sisters.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. The family will reopen on Wednesday, September 02, 2009, from 8:00 a.m. until time of the srevice.

The family would like to thank her caretakers, Del Marsh, Sandra Smith, Irene Guidry and Bernice Hebert.
