Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Elore Trahan Dronet, 99, who died Monday, March 20, 2017 at Pelican Point Healthcare and Rehabilitation. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Paul Bienvenu officiating the services.

She is survived by her three sons, Lee F. Guidry and his wife, Earline of Prairieville, Lenis Guidry, Jr. and his wife, Linda of New Orleans, and Brent Dronet and his wife, Julie of Gonzales; two daughters, Myrtis and her husband, John M. Trahan of Kaplan and Wilda and her husband, Mervis Saltzman of Gueydan; two sisters, Vernice Hebert of Kaplan and Verna Harrington of Kaplan; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved first husband, Lenis Guidry, Sr.; her second husband, Ednor Dronet; her parents, Euphemon Trahan and the former Edolia Dartez; three brothers, John Trahan, Opha Trahan, and Obray Trahan; and one grandson, Kendall Keith Saltzman.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 9:00 AM until the procession departs for the church with a rosary being prayed at 11:30 AM.
