ABBEVILLE—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, March 24, 2017 at St. John Church honoring the life of Maudrey Mae Stelly Choate, 74, who died Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at her residence.

She will be laid to rest at Bancker Cemetery with Reverend Emmanuel Fernandez officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Corey Choate, Brady Choate, Marlon Choate, Corey Choate Jr, Brannon Trahan and Rudy Stelly.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmie D. Choate; daughter, Lisa Claire Choate; three sons, Corey Michael Choate, Brady Elliott Choate and his wife Jennifer, and Marlon Wade Choate and his wife Pamela; brother, John Jeffery Stelly; six grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilford Stelly and the former Marie Suire.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM when the procession will depart for the church. A rosary being prayed at 11:30 AM.
