Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Darrell Lee Simon, 58, who died Friday, August 28, 2009 due to the result of an automobile accident.

He is survived by one son, Darren Simon of Brookhaven, Mississippi; two daughters, Dodie Currera of Slidell and Dawn Alstine of Lansing, Michigan; his parents, Rena T. Mouton of Arnaudville and Houston J. Simon of Kaplan; one brother, Alan Ray Simon of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Gloria Aucoin of St. Gabriel and Dianna Simon Fredericks of Gainesville, Florida; and twelve grandchildren.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 from 11 a.m. until services.
